5th Annual Knit For Food Knit-A-Thon!

  • Panera Bread 5191 Sunrise Highway Bohemia, NY, 11716 United States (map)

We are thrilled to announce that the Eastern Suffolk Knit & Crochet Guild will participate in the 5th Annual Knit for Food Knit-a-Thon on April 5th, 2025!

Join us for a meetup on the 5th, from 9 AM to 9 PM at Panera Bread in Bohemia, for a day filled with camaraderie, creativity, and community spirit. This event welcomes knitters, crocheters, and all crafting enthusiasts. For everyone who raises at least $100 in donations, there will be Zoom programming in the morning and evening (music, speakers, breakout knitting rooms, yoga, stretching, knitting ergonomics, etc.). We’ll hear from each of the four organizations that we’re fundraising for to learn more about the work they’re doing.

All proceeds from this event will benefit four incredible charities:

  • Feeding America: The nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working to connect people with food and end hunger in the United States.

  • World Central Kitchen: Using the power of food to heal communities and strengthen economies during times of crisis and beyond.

  • No Kid Hungry: Striving to ensure that no child in America goes hungry, particularly in the wake of the pandemic.

  • Meals on Wheels: Addressing the urgent needs of seniors who may be left hungry and alone due to physical declines or financial hardship.

Make sure that you join the Eastern Suffolk Knit & Crochet Guild group so that your donations count towards our total amount raised!

Additionally, we're teaming up with Panera Bread for a special fundraiser on March 5th from 4 PM to 8 PM. During this time, 20% of sales from any purchase will be donated to No Kid Hungry. To participate, simply show the flyer—printed or digital—to the cashier, or use a special code for online purchases. Panera will send a donation check directly to No Kid Hungry. Please spread the word to friends, family, coworkers, and fellow crafters—every little bit helps!
